Carroll D. Smith passed away on December 27, 2010. He was born January 31, 1942 to the late Oriel and Eula Smith. He is predeceased by his parents as well as 1 sister and 1 brother.

Mr. Smith proudly served 30 years in the U.S. Navy as a Weapons Technician and retired as Command Master Chief of the Naval Supply Center. He was transferred fleet reserve in 1990. After leaving the Navy he was a courier with Fulton Bank for five years, a job he truly loved.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Trudy; brother Kenneth Smith of Arkansas; A son Michael of Australia; two daughters, Lynne Koppenhaver and her husband Michael of Virginia Beach and Debra Webb and her husband Troy of Arkansas. Six grandchildren, Patrick, Phillip, Killian and Kieran Koppenhaver of Virginia Beach and Katherine and Johnnie Houpt of Arkansas .

Carroll was an avid fresh water fisherman. He loved taking his grandsons fishing, and was a strong believer in the catch and release theory. He also loved NASCAR, camping, and supporting the grandkids in their sporting events, and attending their band concerts, and school activities.
