Amboy, May 18--Mrs. Viola Evelyn Badger, 81, wife of Jess Badger, Peru route 5, died at 11: 15 o'clock Wednesday night at the Clinic Hospital, Bluffton. She had been ill with complications the past year.
The deceased was born in Miami County, March 27, 1889, the daughter of James and Katherine Snyder Herrell. She was married March 2, 1916 in Kokomo to Mr. Badger and they lived there until eight years ago when they moved to the Amboy vicinity.
Surviving with the husband are a brother, Oliver Herrell of Miami; three sisters, Mrs. Maude Huey, Mrs. Alta Cameron and Mrs. Roxy Goldsberry, all of Kokomo and a half sister, Mrs. Lottie Pierce, also of Kokomo, with a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Laird Funeral Home at 1:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon with the Rev. Marvin Simons in charge. Burial will be in the Santa Fe cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Friday.
