BEECHER HERRELL EXPIRES FOLLOWING LONG ILLNESS
Beecher Herrell, 76, died at 9 o'clock Friday night at his home, 1606 South Buckeye street, following several months of failing health. He had been bedfast for the past four weeks.
Mr. Herrell was born near Miami and operated a general store in the town for 35 years. He came to Kokomo about 20 years ago.
He is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Della Waters and Mrs. Madge Shaffer of Kokomo, Miss Georgia Herrell residing at home, Mrs. Lola Willson of Miami and Mrs. Elsie Gillie of Massalion, Ohio; one brother, Otho Herrell of Denver; one sister, Mrs. Regina Crain of Goodalls, Mich. eight grandchildren and five great- grandchildren. He was a member of the Red Man Lodge.
Funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock Monday morning at the Ellers Chapel followed by burial in Memorial Park cemetery.
Friends may call at the family residence after 5 o'clock Saturday evening and until 6:30 o'clock Monday morning when the body will be taken to the funeral home.
