The daughter of my ancestor, LT. FRANCIS PEABODY and his first wife, Lydia, she was baptised in Hampton, Rockingham County, New Hampshire on 30 August 1640 and married (1) Thomas Howlett on about 1660 and (2) Thomas Perley on July 8, 1667. The date & place of her death are unknown.

Boxford VR has, under PERLEY (Pearley, Pearly, Perly): Ledia, wid., Apr. 30, 1715.

The mother of Lydia Peabody bapt' in 1640, d/o Lt. Francis Peabody of Topsfield, has been generally given as MARY FOSTER, Widow of Daniel Wood. This Widow Wood was the 2nd wife of Lt. Francis Peabody and mother of only part of his children
