Clyda Bartley, age 90 of Mt. Vernon died Thursday, July 1st, 2004. She was born in Mt. Vernon, December 31, 1913 to the late Robert Lee and Stella Catherine Malcomb Lacewell. She was an employee of the Conway Human Development Center for many years. She is of the Church of Christ faith. She was predeceased by her husband: Rueben Eugene Bartley, by sisters: Jewel Breeding of Indiana, Lillie Lacewell and Elise Lacewell Gray of Mt. Vernon.
She is survived by three sons: Maurice Bartley of Memphis, Tennessee, Horace Bartley and wife Patricia of Mt. Vernon, and Loyce Bartley of Mt. Vernon, by four grandchildren: Heath Eugene Bartley, Kimberly Ann Bartley Weatherford, Brian Keith Bartley, and Tom Phillips, by ten great-grandchildren: Zachary Allen Swain, Alisabeth Bess Bartley, Kristin Carol Weatherford, Kathryn Michelle Bartley, Christopher Steven Weatherford, Brooklyn RayAnn Bartley, Sarah, Rebecca, Rachel, and Gabriel Phillips, by four brothers: T.M. Lacewell of Mt. Vernon, Hardy Lacewell of Peoria,Illinois, Houston Lacewell of California, and Alex Lacewell of Illinois, and a sister: Robbie Keizer of Illinois.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 5, 2004 at the Roller McNutt Chapel. Burial will be at Brown Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. on Sunday. Arrangements by Roller McNutt Conway (501.327.7727).
