Horace Eugene Bartley, 85, of Mt. Vernon, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 8, 2022. He was born February 3, 1937 in Mt. Vernon to the late Reuben Eugene and Clyda Orabell Lacewell Bartley.
Horace was also preceded in death by his brother, Reuben Maurice Bartley.
Horace is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Patricia Ann Bartley, his sons, Brian Keith Bartley and Heath Eugene Bartley (and wife Angelique), his daughters, Kimberly Ann Weatherford and Robbin Jean Land (and husband Mackie), his brother, Loyce Dowen Bartley, his grandchildren, Rodney, Randall, Alisabeth, Kathryn, Brooklyn, Kristin, and Christopher, along with 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Horace was a member of Cedar Hill Church of Christ and a veteran of the United States Army. He was an over the road truck driver for 40 years. Horace was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed watching TV westerns. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be from 6pm to 8pm Sunday, February 13, 2022 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. A graveside service will be held at 1pm Monday at Brown Cemetery in Barney.
