Mr. Maynard died Saturday, June 13, 1992, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN.
Born in Putnam County on March 17, 1919, he was the son of the late Larkin and Mandy Jernigan Maynard.
Mr. Maynard was a retired self employed carpenter and an Army veteran who survived the attack on Pearl Harbor. He was of the Baptist faith.
His family includes four sons, Bill Maynard of Baxter, TN; John Maynard of Shelbyville, TN; Lloyd Maynard of Lebanon, TN and Allan Maynard of Waterford, MI; two daughters, Roberta Huddleston of Baxter, TN and Carolyn S. Gay of Wakefield, VA; two brothers, J.C. and Bill Maynard, both of
Cookeville, TN; three sisters, Ruby Ingram of MI and Mable Maddux and Linnie Bruce, both of Baxter, TN; 11 grandchildren and one greatgrandchild.
