Linnie (Maynard) Bruce

BAXTER –Funeral services for Linnie Jewell Bruce, 77, of Baxter were held at 1 p.m. today, March 21, in the Baxter chapel of Hooper and Huddleston Funeral Home. Burial was in Odd Fellows Cemetery.

Mrs. Bruce died Sunday, March 19, 1995 in Masters Health Care Center in Algood.
Daughters of the late Larkin and Mandy Jernigan Maynard, she was born in Putnam County on September 9, 1917.
She was a homemaker and a member of Bethany Methodist Church and Baxter Senior Citizens.

Her family includes one daughter, Colleen Nash of Cookeville; one son, Tommy Dale Bruce of Baxter; two
sisters, Mable Maddux of Baxter and Ruby Ingram of Iron River, MI; two brothers, J. C. Maynard of Baxter and Bill Maynard of Sparta; grandchildren, Angela and Ricky Shelton and Steve and Katherine Jo Nash, and Great granddaughter, Sara Beth Shelton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Bruce Jr.

Pallbearers were Lloyd Nash, James and Terry Maddux, Bob Winchester, McCoy Shelton, James Bush and Calbert and Ray Bruce.

Bro. Robert Prichard and Bro. J. Glea Shelley officiated at the services.
