L.B. was born on September 4, 1932 in Midlothian, Texas. His parents were Lindsay Alsup and Maggie (Bowman) Alsup. On June 19, 1954 he married Lena Alsup of Midlothian, Texas. He was self employed as a mechanic. He owned Alsup Service Station and Motel till 1980. L.B. served on the Midlothian Board of Trustees for two years.

L.B. was preceeded in death by his parents and his son, Michael Alsup.

Services were held at Coward Funeral Home Chapel on November 26, 1993 at 2 p.m. Clergyman was T.E. Baxter. Interment followed at the Midlothian Cemetery.

Survivors include; daughter and son-in-law, Tammi Baxter and Keith Baxter of Midlothian; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa Doskocil and Steve Doskocil of Midlothian; daughter and son-in-law, Denise Woods and Doug Woods of Dawson, Texas; brother Loyd Miller of Midlothian; brother Jack Alsup of Garland; brother Hubert Alsup of Amarillo; brother Harold Alsup of Waxahachie; sister Carol Spurlock of Midlothian; sister Ruthie Long of Garland; sister Novaline Proffitt of Dallas; sister Ruby Russell of Ft. Worth; sister Edna Busby of Winnsboro, Tx., 5 grandchildren, Brooke, Ashley, Josh, Joey and Katie.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Coward Funeral Home.
