Loyd E. Miller, 74, passed away on April 24, 1997 in Waxahachie. He was born April 4, 1923 in Tennessee. He was retired from Tyler Refrigeration of Waxahachie, where he worked for 31 years. He had been a resident of Midlothian for 54 years. He married Marie Ivy Miller on March 3, 1945 in Waxahachie. He had been married 52 years.
Services were held Saturday, April 26, 1997 at 2:00 p.m. at Coward Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jerry Hall officiating. Visitation was held on Friday, April 25, 1997 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Coward Funeral Home. Interment was held after services at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Midlothian.
Pallbearers were the grandsons and nephews of Mr. Miller.
Loyd is survived by; his wife, Marie Ivy Miller of Midlothian; 3 sons, James R. Miller and Gerald Miller of Midlothian; Ronnie Miller of Milburn, Oklahoma; 1 daughter, Judy Samford of Midlothian; 1 brother, Dick Alsup of Waxahachie; 3 sisters, Carol Jean Spurlock and Ruthie Long of Midlothian; Edna Mae Busby of Winnsboro, Texas; 9 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
