SOPHIA - Nettie Freeman Bame, 96, of Newb-Hill Road, died Friday, April 16, 1999, at Sunrise of the Triad, High Point.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Cumby Mortuary, Archdale, with the Rev. Bill V. Barnes and the Rev. Charles Lassiter officiating. Burial will be in Marlboro Friends Meeting Cemetery.

She was a native of Montgomery County, the widow of John William Bame, a homemaker, the oldest member of Sophia Baptist Church and a member of the Senior Citizens Sunday School Class.

Surviving are daughter, Wilma Bame of Sophia; sons, John Bame of Sophia, Theodore William "Ted" Bame of Randleman; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.

The family will be at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. Sunday.
