Mr. Bame was born on November 30, 1936 in Randolph County, a son of the late John and Nettie Freeman Bame. A resident of Sophia all of his life, was a retired security guard. John enjoyed gardening, hunting and talking politics.
Preceding him in death were his brothers, Ted and Henry Bame; his sisters, Frances Connor, Wilma and Edna Bame. He is survived by a daughter and grandson.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 6 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale, with Pastor Roger Carmichael officiating. Interment will follow in Randolph Memorial Park.
