Dobson rites held Monday

Millard Dobson, 84 passed away Friday, October 5, 1990 at the Pauls Valley hospital. Services for Mr. Dobson were held Monday, October 8, at 2 p.m. at the Maysville Assembly of God Church. Burial was in the Maysville Cemetery under direction of John Williams of Winans Funeral Home.

Millard Leonard Dobson was born March 15, 1906 at Bristow to John and Stacy Riley Dobson.

Mr. Dobson was a longtime resident of this area. He came here with his family about 1923. The family lived on the old home place on Story road for many years. Millard loved to play dominoes and fish. He is preceded in death by his wife Minnie Lee Johnson in 1935. He had been affiliated with the Baptist Church in his younger days.

Survivors include three children: Elmo Dobson, of Murphy, North Carolina, Curt Dobson of Maysville, and Ruth Elaine Gardenhire of Duncan; 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 5 step-grandchildren.

He is preceded by his wife also one grandson and two granddaughters.
