Arthur R. Shellhamer of Endicott
Arthur R. Shellhamer, 95, of Willow Point Nursing Home, went peacefully into the arms of his Lord on December 28, 2004. Arthur was born on August 15, 1909, in the Township of Salem, Luzerne County, Pa. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Marie; and a son, Bill. He is survived by his dear sister, Clara R. Smith, Binghamton; a brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, James and Marge Simpson, Johnson City, and Hazel Shellhamer, Newark Valley; also several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren,.Also surviving him is his loyal friend and caretaker, Karen Avedisian, who would like to extend a special thank you and appreciation to the caring staff at Willow Point for their compassion and kindness. Arthur was also a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church of Endicott.
Funeral and Interment Services will be held Thursday, 1 p.m. from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main St., Endicott, with the Reverend Susan Davis, Pastor of his church, officiating. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endicott. Expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 53 McKinley Avenue, Endicott, N.Y. 13760.
