Funeral services for Helen Ellen Kraft Mahlmann, 62, of Richmond, were scheduled 3:30 p.m. Monday at the Immanuel United Church of Christ in Needville. The Rev. George Kuebler officiated, with burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg.
Mrs. Mahlmann, born Jan. 4, 1925 in Fort Bend County and reared in the Woodrow Community, died early Saturday at Polly Ryon Memorial Hospital in Richmond.
A rancher and farmer since her husband Max Marcus Mahlmann died in 1977, Mrs. Mahlmann also served as secretary-treasurer and director of the Coastal Plains Soil and Water Conservation Board for more than 10 years. She also was secretary of South Texas Cotton and Grain Association and a past member of the Fort Bend County Library Board.
She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Jean Elaine Mahlmann.
Survivors include two sons, Ernest Mahlmann, and Bruce and his wife, Jennifer Mahlmann, all of Richmond; a daughter, Pamela and her husband, Dr. Art Klawitter of Needville; a sister, Ella Seiler Brown of Rosenberg; two brothers, Hilbert Kraft of Sommerville and Hugo Kraft Jr. of Damon; and five grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
