Ida Amelia Satterfield was born
in the farm home of her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. John R. Hugos, near
Norway, Kan., on August 6, 1889
She departed from this life at
the Ness County Hospital in Ness
City, Kan., on February 7, 1959, at
the age of 70 years and 6 months.
She was joined in matrimony to
Cleve Satterfield on December 29,
1921, in Kansas City, Mo. To this
union were born two children,
Charles Richard and Anna Christine,
both surviving her. She and her
children made their home in Scandia,
Concordia, Manhattan, and
Norway, Kan. For the past twelve
and one-half years she has owned
and operated "Satterfield's", Lady
Apparel Shop in Ness City. For
the past fifty years her profession
has been merchandising. Survivors are her children, Charles, of the Merchant Mar-
ines, and Anna Christine of Kansas City. Mo.; her husband, Cleve Satterfield of Kansas City, Mo.; her mother, Mrs. J. R. Hugos, now
97 years of age; three brothers and
four sisters, Miss Ollie Hugos, Law-
rence Hugos, Richard Hugos, and
Mrs. Fred Dutton all of Norway,
Kan., Miss Clara Hugos of Hills-
boro, Kan, Mrs. Josie Medlin and
Karl Hugos of Manhattan, Kan.,
and other relatives, friends and
business associates.
Preceding her in death were her
father and two sisters, Mrs. F. L.
Cuthbertson of Norcatur, Kan., and
Miss Reba Hugos of Page City,
Kan.
