OBITUARY - MARY KYLE ANDREWS - CANDOR COURIER - 6 AUG 1903
ANDERSON HILL - It was with sad hearts that we heard of the death of Mrs. Orville Andrews at the home of her father, T.D. Kyle, at Catatonk Friday night. She died of convulsions, leaving an infant son, a daughter, five years of age; a husband, father and mother, two brothers, two sisters, and a host of friends to mourn the lost (sic) of one stricken in her prime. Her age was thirty-five years and six months. She was an esteemed resident of this place until she was married nearly eight years ago, and removed to New York. Her funeral was held at Catatonk, Monday at 11 0'clock.

OBITUARY - MARY S. KYLE ANDREWS - OWEGO GAZETTE - 13 AUG 1903
ANDERSON HILL, AUG 10 - Mrs. Mary S. Kyle, wife of Orville Andrews, of New York, died at Catatonk July 31 at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Theron D. Kyle, where she had been spending a few months accompanied by her little 5-year old daughter , Vadie. Mr. Andrews did not arrive from New York until after her death. A little son will mourn the loss of a mother, whom he never knew. His aunt, Mrs. Lulu Gulden will care for him, and little Vadie will stay with her grandparents. Mrs. Andrews was born Jan 8, 1868, and married Nov. 6, 1895. She leaves a large circle of relatives and friends, heartbroken over her sudden departure. She gave her heart to her savior in her early youth, and was a consistent and faithful member of the M.E. church in this place, where the greater part of her life was spent. During her married life she lived in New York. Her funeral was held Monday, Aug 3 and a large congregation attended to pay the last tribute of love and respect to one who was so worthy. Forty carriages followed her remains to the Woodbridge cemetery, where she sleeps near her sisters, gone before. Rev. Ziba Evans preached an excellent sermon from several last verses of the 15th chapter of 1st Corinthians. The floral offerings were numerous and very nice. Especial mention should be made of a pillow in white, lettered in violet, "Rest," which lay at the head of the casket. She will be very much missed by all her friends, and no one will forget her.
