Mrs. Willie shinn, aged 58 years, wife of Mr. Ad Shinn, passed away at 6:30 o'clock Sunday morning, January 18, 1942, at the family home eleven miles southeast of Dardanelle. The funeral service, conducted by the Pastor of the Russellville christian Church, was held at the New Hope Church at 2:00 o'clock Monday afternoon, burial being in the New Hope Cemetery.
Mrs. Shinn was a woman of beautiful character, loved, admired and respected by all who knew her. She had been in declining health for more than a year, and forthe past three months had been bedfast, but she bore her sufferings with courage and Christian fortitude.
Besides her grief-stricken husband, she is survived by four heartbroken children: Lloyd Shinn, of Altheimer; Mrs. Bernice Jones, of Slaty; and Spencer and Miss Adelie Shinn, of the home.
