Lydia Dwelle was the third wife of Jonathan E. Hoag. She married Jonathan on June 21, 1865 at age 30, Jonathan was 34. Lydia passed away at age 71 in 1906. Jonathan Hoag passed away in 1927 and they are buried together at Greenwich Cemetery New York. Mr. Hoag's first two wives passed away at young ages from child birth complications.
Lydia and Jonathan had one child, Albert Allan Hoag, born 1867. "Bert" married Mary Scofield "Mamie" Wood and had four children. Lydia and Jonathan lived on the Hoag Farm in Easton, NY. Allan and Mamie also later lived there.
Lydia was actively involved in Easton's Political Equality Club (for women's votes) which began in 1891.
