Willa Marie Barnes, 87, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 5 at her residence in Greensburg.

Born, Jan. 22, 1923 in Greensburg, she was the daughter of Ora and Lacie May (Michaels) Barnes.

Willa was a 1940 graduate of Greensburg High School. She then attended La Salle University for one year majoring in Business Management.

She was an office employee for many years locally at Bohn Aluminum. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Greensburg. She was a 50 year member of Order of Eastern Star, and she loved attending to people who were sick and in need of care.

Willa is survived by 5 nephews, Mark D. Barnes, Greensburg, Thomas D. Barnes, Frankfort, Michael H. Barnes, Woodstock, Ga., Jeffrey A. Barnes, Roseville, Calif., Bradley C. Barnes, Frankfort; one niece, Anita Ewing, Indianapolis; one sister-in-law, Betty Barnes, Frankfort, and several great neices and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Roland C. Barnes, Ora Barnes, Jr., Earl D. Barnes, and William E. Barnes (infant); a sister, Daisy A. Myers, and a niece, Sharon Cudworth.

There will be no public visitation.

Private Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 9 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg with Rev. Jimmy Moore officiating.

Interment will be held in the South Park Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Greensburg United Methodist Church through the funeral home.
