Frank N. Addabbo, 84, of Syracuse, passed away Saturday at St. Joseph's Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born in Syracuse, he served with the U.S. Navy during WWII. Frank was a communicant of St. Daniel's Church and a member of the Solvay Tigers and Solvay Geddes Veterans. He was a longtime member of the Lyncourt Fire Department for 37 years; he was often referred as "Father Frank." He was a manager with General Electric for 38 years, retiring in 1988. Frank is survived by his loving wife, Mary (Sardella) Addabbo; two sons, Frank J. Cutre of CA and Peter J. (Dawn) Addabbo of Memphis, NY; a grandson, Cole Joseph Addabbo; a brother, Michael (Joanne) Addabbo of Syracuse; two sisters, Rose Zappala of Solvay and Lucy Walters of Westvale; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 8 a.m. Wednesday in Thomas J. Pirro Funeral Home and 9 a.m. in St. Daniel's Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will be in Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery. Family and friends may call at Thomas J. Pirro Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. Contributions may be made to St. Daniel's Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
