Upon graduation from high school in 1936 Ruth completed Business College. She was employed at McClellan Air Force Base as a Computer Systems Manager and Machine Accounts Supervisor.

Ruth Eileen Rockwell and Wendell Nye Boyd were united in marriage on November 19, 1938 in Spokane, Washington. Together they had three children: Stephen,Kathleen, and Gary. Wendell passed away December 3,1969 in Sacramento,California.

Records also show that Ruth Eileen Boyd of California and Fred E. Pohl of California were married on January 20,1979 in Reno,Nevada with a religious ceremony. Recorded in# book 679,pg.240,license #69181. There were no children from this union.
