Larry Rex Mealer, age 49 of Franklin, passed away Sept. 23, 2008 at Vanderbilt Hospital.
He was a member of Leiper's Fork Church of Christ. He is survived by brothers, Charles (Mary) Mealer of Franklin, Eddie (Shelia) Mealer of Southall Community, David (Judy) Mealer of Spring Hill, Marvin (Kim) Mealer of Thompson's Station, Mike (Tammy Carter) Mealer of Franklin and Ronald (Polly) Mealer of Thompson's Station; sister, Linda Mealer of Leiper's Fork; uncle, Richard (Donna) Mealer of Austin, Texas; aunt, Lula Holt of Franklin; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Sharon Chunn.
Services will be conducted 10 a.m., Friday, Sept. 26, 2008 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Bro. Johnny Webb officiating. Interment will be at Williamson Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to the Larry Mealer Memorial Fund. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home.

Larry died from complications from open heart surgery. He was not able to successfully come off of life support from the surgery.
Larry was a life-long bachelor, never had any children, and lived his whole life with his mother (until her death) and his sister, Linda.
He loved to watch football, and always seemed to have a smile on his face.
