Eliza Cooper-Dixon was the daughter of Zach and Sarah (Heflin?) Cooper. Her fathers parents were from England. Her father settled in middle Tennessee and reared a family of at least three sons and three daughters. Her brothers were Allen, Peyton, and Wm. Monroe. Her sisters were Polly and Lina. Coopers married the children of Matthew Dixon as follows; Hilliard Dixon married Eliza Cooper. Harry Dixon married Polly Cooper. Kiziah Caroline Dixon married Allen Cooper. Alice Dixon married Peyton Cooper. The last one, Lina Cooper married Bob Drumright. Lina's daughter Eda married Thomas Dixon. Hilliard and Eliza were the parents of; Thomas J., William C., John C., Benjamin F., Allen H., Samuel W., Sallie, and Frances M. Eliza's husband Hilliard died in 1872 and she died a few years later. She is probably buried beside him in Old Mt. Olive near Melbourne, AR. May she rest in peace.
