Mrs. Pruett had a passion for travel and adventure. Her husband's career with Burlington Industries allowed them to live for a period in Havana, Cuba and Medellin, Columbia, South America. There she adopted her beloved dogs, Pogo and Winston. She was also quite fond of a sneaky cat named Marci. She was a great cook and was famous for her pound cakes. She also had a wonderful sense of humor, and a witty yet graceful way of making her feelings known. Mrs. Pruett had a strong faith, and was a member of Central United Methodist Church for 42 years. There she was a member of the Horace Grigg Sunday School Class, the Youth Over Fifty, and the Golden Links Sunday School Class.
The family would like to express appreciation to Diane Albea, Lori Lail, and Laurel Faulby, Hospice, as well as members of Central UMC's pastoral care committee and close friends and neighbors Linda and Val Simoncic, Gail Price and Carol Treharn Wood for their faithful love and care of Aunt Ginny.
The Funeral will be held on Saturday at 11am at the Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home with graveside service to follow at Cleveland Memorial Park.
