"HENRY ROTHROCK PASSES TO THE BEYOND

Henry Rothrock, well known former Ada citizen, passed away on Friday at his home in Fostoria after several months illness from heart trouble. He suffered a severe attack early in the spring at which time his life hung in the balance for several days but he finally rallied, and made two visits to Ada, the last time about five weeks ago. He with Mrs. Rothrock were planning to spend the winter with their son and daughter in Bradentown, Fla., and had all reservations made for the trip when the grim reaper overtook him.

Mr. Rothrock was born and reared at New Stark and lived for some years in Forest being engaged in business. He was for many years a member of the Rothrock Hardware Co. of Ada. Ten years ago he severed his connections here to enter the hardware business in Fostoria with his son, Cliff, and nephew Cliff Pifer. Upon his son and family leaving for Florida, he sold out and took stock with the Allen Motor Works with which he was connected at the time of his death.

He was first married to Miss Kathryn Pifer of New Sark (sic). To this union seven children were born, three died in infancy. Those living are: Cliff and Laura of Bradentown, Fla., Bertha Turner of Pittsfield, Mass., and Harry of Rossford, Ohio. His wife passed from them leaving him with four minor children. He later was united in marriage to Miss Ella Burnett of Forest who with the children mentioned above and four daughters, Elta Thurston of Toledo, Fern Frase, Florence and Helen Rothrock of Fostoria mourn the loss of an affectionate husband and father, whom to know was to respect. He also leaves two sisters, Mrs. John Shaw of Ada, and Mrs. Eliza Shaw, who has gone to spend the winter with her daughter-in-law at Hamilton, Ohio, Three brothers, Isaac of Chicago, Will of Lima, and George of Ada, several step brothers and sisters and many relatives.

Funeral services were held from the First Methodist church at Fostoria on Tuesday. Burial was made in Forest. Taken from: THE ADA RECORD obituary, Ada, Oh., Wed., 22 Nov. 1922 A.D."
