Harry Allan Rothrock was the sixth of seven known children of Henry Rothrock (1851-1922) and Catherine Pifer Rothrock (1852-1887), who married 06 Feb 1873 at New Stark, Hancock County, Ohio. After Catherine died, Henry remarried to Mary Oella (went by Ella) Burnett (1864-1955) on 14 Apr 1889 at Forest, hardin County, Ohio and had an additional four known children.

Rev. Rothrock married Esther Kail (1884-1960) on 10 Jun 1914 at Marseilles, Wyandot County, Ohio. Rev. Rothrock and Esther were the parents of four known children, namely:

1. Louise Jane Rothrock Albright (1915-2001)
2. living daughter Rothrock Burk (1918-living)
3. Robert Kail Rothrock (1922-2007)
4. Harry Alan Rothrock (1925-1977)

Minister's Funeral To Be At Vanlue

Services for the Rev. Harry Rothrock, 71, pastor of the Vanlue and McCutchersville Methodist churches, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Vanlue church.

Dr. Jon Cheney, superintendent of the Toledo district, will officiate with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, Upper Sandusky. The body is at the Bristol Funeral Home, Carey, where friends may call from noon Tuesday until noon Wednesday.

Mr. Rothrock died at 5:35 p.m. Sunday in Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay, of a heart ailment. He had been struck by an auto Nov. 20 in Vanlue and suffered head and leg injuries.

A graduate of Ada High School, Mr. Rothrock received a bachelor of arts degree from Ohio Northern University and his bachelor of sacred theology degree from Boston University.

He had been a minister 40 years.

Born in Hancock Co., June 10, 1883, he was a son of Henry and Catherine (Pfeiffer) Rothrock. He had lived in Vanlue 18 months, previously residing in Germantown, O. He married Esther Kail, June 10, 1914, and she survives.

Also surviving are his stepmother, Mrs. Ella Rothrock, Fostoria; sons, Robert, Cuyahoga Falls and Harry Alan, Cleveland; daughters, Mrs. Lee Burk, Troy, and Mrs. Don Albright, Republic; sister, Mrs. Charles Turner, Brandenton, Fla.; half-sisters, Mrs. Edwin Frase, Detroit, and Mrs. Florence McMann, Fostoria, and eight grandchildren. Six brothers and sisters are deceased."
