Mrs. Wardlow Called Home

Funeral services for Mrs. Ada Viola Wardlow, 72, who died Tuesday at 11:40 p.m. at her home, 1121 Third Avenue E, will be held Thursday at the Ninth Street Methodist Church.

The body will be at the residence until the funeral cortage leaves there at 2:10 p.m. Thursday for the church, where services will follow in city cemetery, Brown's directing.

Born in New Albany, Miss, Mrs. Wardlow spent most of her life here, having been a member of the Ninth Street Church for many years. She had been ill since she suffered a broken hip last year.

Grandsons will act as pallbearers.

She is survived by her husband, J.A. Wardlow; two sons, E.O.Wardlow, Prospect, Tenn; and Dick Wardlow, Decatur; seven daughters, Mrs. D.M. Hightower, Mrs. E.I. Hartselle, Mrs. D.A. Smith and Mrs. B.L. Oliver, all of Decatur; Mrs. Sadye Osborne and Mrs. Fred Murphree, both of Birmingham; Mrs. Elliott Lindsey, Gadsden; two brothers; two sisters; 24 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
