Vivian Elizabeth Cox, 87, died Saturday, June 22, 1996, at the Shearer Richardson Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her husband, George C. Cox, her grandson, Stuart Corley Whitenton, and her son in law James H. Criddle.
Services were held Sunday, June 23 at the Southern Funeral home Chapel in Houston with Bro. William Randall Lewman officiating. Burial was in the Macedonia Cemetery. Southern Funeral Home of Houston was in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include three daughters, Martha Lane Criddle of Denham Springs, La., Georgia Sue Chandler of Mountain View, Ark., and Elizabeth Ann Whitenton of Tupelo; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and three great-great-great grandchildren.
