Funeral Rites of J L Richardson
Funeral rites, with the Rev. W C Ballard officiating were held Wednesday September 27, 1944, from the B C Hill Funeral Home for Mr. J L Richardson, 74, who died at the home of his daughter near Houston.
A native of Kennedy, Ala., Mr. Richardson made his home in Chickasaw county for the last twenty-six years. He was the oldest child of Mr. and Mrs. S G Richardson of Fayette County, Ala., and was the last of his family. He and his wife had been united in marriage for fifty-four years. He has been a member of the Baptist church since young manhood.
Besides his wife, Mrs. J L Richardson, he leaves three children, Mr. S M Richardson of Canton, Miss.; Mr. E E Richardson of Columbus, Miss.; and Mrs. G C Cox of Houston. Six grandchildren, two grandsons and four granddaughters. He also leaves a nephew and niece. Mr. David Richardson of Birmingham, Ala., and Miss Elizabeth Richardson of Huntsville, Ala.
He will be greatly missed by his relatives and host of friends.
