WALTER WALKER BOWMAN, 84, of Germanton, died yesterday at Baptist Hospital. The funeral will be 1 p.m. Sunday at Vogler's Main Street Chapel.

Mr. Bowman, a farmer, was born in Germanton and spent his entire life there.

Surviving is his wife, Lillian King Bowman; seven daughters: Mrs. Hazel Shiners of Santa Ana, Calif., Mrs. Adelaide Hoffman of Pittsburgh, Pa., Mrs. Sara Johnson of Walnut Cove, Miss Sammie Bowman of Little Rock, Ark., Mrs. Hilda Amacker of Accockee, Md., Misses Juanita Bowman and Jeannette Bowman, both of the home; six sons: William M. Bowman of King, W. Kermit Bowman of Jamestown, R. Jack Bowman of Wilmington, Rex M. Bowman of Winston-Salem, J.W. Bowman and Richard Bowman, both of the home; a stepdaughter. Mrs. Virginia Fain of Westfield; four sisters: Mrs. Anne Campbell and Mrs. Ida Mitchell, both of King, Mrs. Susie Walker and Miss Ada Bowman, both of Germanton.
