Homer T. Varnado Dies in Osyka
McComb, Jan 15 - Services were held Wednesday afternoon for Homer Turley Varnado, farmer of the Osyka community, who died at his home Tuesday afternoon. Services were held from East Fork Baptist church near Osyka with the pastor officiating.
Age 74, Mr. Varnado had been a resident of the Osyka community during his useful lifetime.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Fannie Sanders Varnado; four sons, Lenton, Clyde, Roy and Pearl Varnado, all of Osyka; a daughter, Mrs. Joe Strickland, of Foxworth; a brother, Vernon Varnado, Osyka and a sister, Mrs. Dewey Brabham, of Osyka.
Interment was in East Fork cemetery.

Homer Turlington Varnado, known as Turley, was born August 3, 1873, died January 13, 1948. He was baptized at Mt. Zion church August 9, 1889. Turley married Frances Cinderella (Fannie) Sanders on Jan 5, 1893. They lived east of Osyka and are buried at East Fork church, Louisiana.
