Daughter of Peter & Lovica Louisa Iverson, taught school at age 16. Married John Thomas Brown 03 Jan 1897 in Jackson, Madison Co., TN. In later years taught Sunday School and worked with young people.

MRS. J. T. BROWN TODAY AT HER HOME NEAR MALESUS
Mrs. J. T. Brown, aged 54, died this morning at two o'clock at her home eight miles south of Jackson, near Malesus. She had been ill two days suffering from an attack of acute indigestion. The deceased was a well known woman in her community and was a consistent member of the Pleasant Plains Baptist church.
Surviving are her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Louis Wilson of Palm Beach, Fla., and two sons, Albert and Guy Brown of Madison county.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at 11:00 o'clock at the Adee schoolhouse by Rev. J. N. Mays. Interment will then follow at the Ebenezer cemetery. Pallbearers will be as follows: George Burke, Dalton Butler, Will Peters, Jim Davis, Joe Butler and Tom Garrett. Alexander-Lanier Co. in charge of arrangements.
