Jim Minter, 87-year-old resident of the Leatherwood community, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Mary Lou Hooker, at Price, N.C., early today.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at the Countyline Church.
Surviving are his second wife, Mrs. Sallie Doss Minter, and the following children: Mrs. Tilda Morgan, Roanoke; Mrs. Kate Carter, Leatherwood; Miss Stella Minter, Dyers' Store and Howard Minter of Bassett.
Surviving children by his first marriage to Sarah Hensley Minter are: Mrs. Bess Hankins, Gretna; Mrs. Eufala (sic) Samuels, Danville; Mrs. May Lou Hooker, Price; Mrs. Annie Fay Weaver, Martinsville and Jesse Minter, Axton.
