MARTINSVILLE DAILY BULLETIN, Tue., March 4, 1941, p. 3, col. 8. Mrs. Julia Minter Long, Martinsville, Route 1, died at 5 o'clock Monday afternoon at her home on Dyer's Store Road.
Widow of the late Henry Long, Mrs. Long had been in failing health for several years, but her condition had been critical for only a few weeks.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Leatherwood Primitive Baptist Church in charge of Elder W. H. Oakes.
Mrs. Long was born and reared and spent all her life, with the exception of a few years at Brosville, in Henry county. Three bothers remain. They are Jim, Silas and Joseph Minter, all of the Leatherwood community.
