I, Joseph Smeltzer of South Woodberry Township, Bedford County, PA -- being sick and weak in body, but of sound mind and memory, do make this my last will and testament. 1st, it is my will and I order and direct that all debts due by me and my funeral expenses be first duly paid and satisfied as soon as conveniently can be after my decease, 2nd I give and bequeth unto my daughter Elizabeth Reighart my house and lot of ground, situated in South Woodberry Twp, Bedford County, Pa one acre and thirteen perches together with all my personal property, except what is herein after mentioned, it being and my last will that she shall have and hold the same to herself her heirs and assigns, 3rd the excepted part being one lot of ground situated in Stonerstown, Bedford Co, PA together with two notes of fifty dollars each against Ephriam Smeltzer and his wife dated March 1st 1860 and March 1st 1861, this part to be equally divided between my other children, namely, Ephriam, Levi, Joseph [Joseph G. Smeltzer buried Hopewell Cem Bedford Co, PA], and John, Kesiah Hannah Rachael my daughters.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 30th day of March AD 1866. Joseph Smeltzer
