It can sometimes occur in the later part of the first trimester, but usually during the second or third. It is a leading cause of antepartum hemorrhage (vaginal bleeding). It affects approximately 0.5% of all labors.

Services Will Be Held At 10 o'clock Tomorrow Morning
The funeral of Mrs. Robert Ornduff, whose sad death occurred Monday afternoon, will be held tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock at the George Durand home at 415 West Macon Street. Rev. J. D. McCaughtry, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, will have charge. Burial will be made in Park Cemetery.
