After the Civil War was ended, we find Mary Baily age 38 and her husband Joshua age 35 are enumerated on the US Census on August 9, 1870 as living in Tazewell county, Illinois. He is farming and also in the home is 2 their 2 children, Elizabeth age 3 and William W. age 1.
Living with them is Elizabeth Smith, reported as age 8 and is domestic help and John Sharr born in Baden, Germany age 20, farm help.
We find by the time the US Census is enumerated on the 28th of April, 1910, Mary is reported as living with her daughter Elizabeth age 37 and her husband James R. Ornduff also age 37. They are living in Seneca, Newton County, Missouri where James is employed as the manager of a farm. Mary is now 79 and her two grandchildren are Elizabeth Ornduff age 7 and Robert B. Ornduff age 4
By August 2, 1910 Mary passes away from complications of heart disease. Her Missouri Death Certificate listed her parents as Hibbard and Elizabeth Osborn Davis both of Pennsylvania. She was buried next to her husband Joshua in Park Cemetery in Carthage, MO.
