Mrs. Lillie Katherine Smith, wife of Robert J. Smith,
Succumbs at 72

Mrs. Lillie Katherine Smith, 72, wife of Robert J. Smith, died at her home on Langley Hill, near Union Corner, southeast of Danville, at 7:40 o'clock Thursday night. Mrs. Smith, a life resident of Vermilion County, was born at Yanke Point, near Georgetown, Nov. 4, 1859, the daughter of Joesph and Elizabeth Murdock.
Surviving are the husband, Robert Smith, and eight children: Mrs. Phenie Skelton, Mrs. Josie Loeffler, Mrs. Lula Mae Jumps, Everett Smith, George A. Russel F. Raymond J., and Robert J., all of Danville.
Fifteen grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Cynthia Bostwick, Indianola, and Mrs. Sara Cummings, Cayuga, Ind., also survive.
The body was removed to the E.R. Pape funeral home. Shrt services will be held at 1 o'clock Saturday afternnon from the residence and at 2:30 o'clock from the Yankee Point Church. Rev. Albert Teeters will officiate. Burial will be in Yankee Point Cemetery.
