Indianola Woman, Last Survivor of Pioneer County Family, Dead at 84
Mrs. Cynthia Bostwick
Indianola - (CNS) - Resident of Indianola practically all her life, Mrs. Cynthia Bostwick, 84, died at 1:15 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 15, 1939, at home of her son, George, Hoopeston.
Mrs. Bostwick was born at Yankee Point, Apr. 26, 1854, daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Murdock. She was the last survivor of a family of seven children. She had been making her home with her son since the death of her daughter, Mrs. Grace Boggess, Indianola.
Surviving besides the son are 19 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren; three great-great-great-grandchildren; 11 nephews and four nieces.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Indianola Baptist Church, the Rev. Charles High, Indianola, officiating. Burial in Michael Cemetery east of Indianola.
