FUNERAL FOR MRS. JAMES

Services Held From M.E. Church at Garland Saturday Afternoon Conducted by Rev. Gaither.

The funeral of Mrs. Jennie James of Garland was held at the M.E. church on Saturday at 2 p.m.
The services were conducted by Rev. Gaither of Pittsburg. The songs, "Jesus Savior Pilot Me,"
"Calling Me Over the Tide," and "Jesus Lover of My Soul," were sung by Mrs. D.L. Patterson, Mrs.
Anna Albright, Mrs. Ketchum at the piano.
The high esteem in which Mrs James was held was made evident by the large crowd of people in attendance and by the profusion of flowers. There were sprays and designs of flowers from the church lodges and friends, also a beautiful pillow inscribed "Mother" from her two sons.
The pallbearers were: W.H. Brown, T.E. Lahman, W. S. Streeter, B.C. Greenfield, E.E. Palmer and W.T. Bowen. The honorary pallbearers: Mesdames W. P. Drummond, Dora Greenfield, Mamie
Gilbert, W.S. Streeter, T.E. Lahman and Miss Margery Brannon.
The following is the obituary:
Jennie McFall was born near Jacksonville, Morgan County, Ill., November 22, 1865. She came with
her parents to Missouri about 1870.
She was married to Daniel Hudgin in 1886. He died in 1897. To this union was born one son,
Charles.
She was united in marriage to W.W. James in 1901, who died in 1918. To this union were born one
son, Howard and one daughter, Maurine, who died in 1910.
She was united with the M. E. church and lived a consistent Christian life. She was also a mem-
ber of the Rebekah and Eastern Star lodges.
She is survived by two sons, one grand-daugher, five sisters, one brother and a host of friends, who mourn her departure.
She had been in failing health the last eight years, and departed this life June 17, 1926, Age 60 years, 6 months and 25 days.
Interment was made in Reynolds cemetery. Those from a distance to attend the funeral were: C.E.
Hudgin, son, from Jacksonville, Ill.; a brother, D.W. McFall, Mulberry, Kas.; a son, Robert, Keifer,
Okla.; a niece, Mrs. Lettie Hill and husband of Tulsa, Okla.; Frank Arnold, nephew and wife, and daugh-
ter of Centralia, Okla.
