From Holland St. John - "Caroline was the daughter of Daniel and Martha (Brown) Lucas and was born at Stockbridge, eight miles from Cazenovia, Madison County, New York. The actual date of her birth has not been determined, but the most logical date was around 1797-8. Caroline, in her childhood, lived near Cazenovia, New York on the family farm. She married a man named John Patrick and she spent her married life near Conquest, New York. The couple had one and possibly two children: Alzina Caroline, who was born December 28, 1819 and died December 13, 1889; and Marcena, who one source suggested he died young soon after his mother died. Nieces and nephews said she had a son, Marcena, who died in infancy, but her grandson said she had a daughter only. She was said to have been twenty-four years old at the time of her death. This would be around the year 1822. She fell from a new chamber floor to the floor below, causing her death. It is interesting to note that her elder sister, Elmena, also died in an accident at the age of twenty-four. Family tradition has Caroline interred in the Conquest Village Cemetery; however, this is not been confirmed and her gravestone has not been found. Her sister Elmena and husband are also assumed to be buried here."
