Samuel A. Boyer, 79, resident of Albuquerque since 1926, died Thursday, August 13, 1981, in Albuquerque.

He is survived by his wife, Maud Ethel (Pontius), of the family home; three sons, David E. Boyer (wife, Zella) of Albuquerque; Carl Albert Boyer (wife, Viola) of Ranger, TX; and Marvin Emory Boyer (wife, Dixie) of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren: Sandi Fairchild, Janice Tedford, Kent Boyer, Mark Boyer, Cathy Kitterman, Shen Boyer of Albuquerque, Dick Boyer of Sheridan, WY, Susan McNett of Germany, and Paul Boyer of Phoenix, AZ; and 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, Bill Boyer of Akron, OH, and a sister, Mary Lening of Kramer, PA.

He was a member of Carpenters Local 1319 for 41 years. He was an expert gun maker, sharp shooter and an expert craftsman.

Honorary pallbearers were: Kent Boyer, Mark Boyer, Paul Boyer, Richard Boyer and Everett Kitterman.
