Marvin Emory Boyer was born February 7, 1927, in Albuquerque, NM and passed away on April 13, 2011 in Peoria, AZ.

He graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1945. He attended the AHS 65th Class Reunion last September. He graduated from Wayland Baptist College in 1960 and later obtained a Masters Degree from ENMU. He taught history and government at the high school level in Phoenix, AZ for 28 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Maud Ethel (Pontius) and Samuel Albert Boyer, his wife Dixie Merrell (Raburn) Pennington-Boyer, and by two brothers, David and Carl.

He is survived by his children, Marvin Boyer, Susan McNett and Paul Boyer; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; two nephews and four nieces.
