Sister Mary Donna Dreiling, C.S.A., passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2004, at St. Francis Home where she had been a resident for the past five months. Sister Mary Donna was born Pauline Dreiling on May 4, 1920, in Victoria, Kan., a daughter of the late John P.A. Dreiling and Pauline Lang Dreiling. Sister Mary Donna professed vows in the Congregation of Saint Agnes on Aug. 15, 1939.

Having earned a Bachelor's Degree and a Master's Degree in education, Sister ministered as a teacher in elementary schools for 46 years, after which she spent her retirement years serving as a librarian and teacher's aide and in the care of the elderly. Sister ministered in Wisconsin, New York, Illinois, Indiana and Kansas.

Survivors include many nieces and nephews; other relatives; friends; and members of the Congregation of St. Agnes with whom she lived and ministered.

Sister Mary Donna was preceded in death by her brothers, Richard, Raymond, Eugene, Gilbert and James Dreiling; and also by her sisters, Ottilia Wagner, Leona Werth, Angela Kisner and Irene Schumacher.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 27, 2004, at St. Francis Home Chapel in Fond du Lac. The Rev. Edward F. Sippel will be the celebrant at the Mass. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Springs Cemetery in Fond du Lac.
