He married Alma Robben Aug. 24, 1944 in Idaho.
He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Walker, the American Legion, and the Third Order of St. Francis. He was a graduate of Fort Hays State University with a bachelor's degree and master's in education. He taught school in Victoria 14 years and was principal in Leoti for nine years.
Survivors are his wife of the home; two sons, Dorian of San Diego and Tom of Casper, Wyo.; four daughters, Miss Marilyn Dreiling of Lenexa, Mrs. Rick (Eileen) Dreiling of Augusta, Mrs. Rick (Ruth) Kessler of Leoti, and Mrs. Phil (Gloria) Brown of Hays; two brothers, Dr. Richard Dreiling of St. Louis, Mo., and Jim Dreiling of Russell; five sisters, Mrs. Ed (Tillie) Wagner of Walker, Mrs. Fred (Angela) Kisner of Hays, Mrs. Bob (Leona) Werth of Leawood, Sr. Mary Donna Dreiling, C.S.A., of Bensonville, Ill., and Mrs. Melvin (Irene) Schumacher of Salina; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 6, at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Walker, burial was in St. Ann's Cemetery, Walker.
