James E. "Jim" Dreiling, died Saturday, Nov. 14, 1998 at Wichita. He was born Sept. 12, 1929 south of Victoria, the son of John P.A. and Pauline Lang Dreiling.

A lifetime Victoria area resident, he worked in the oil field industry and was a retired farmer. He belonged to St. Fidelis Catholic Church and was a lifetime member of Victoria VFW Post No. 1751. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

On Sept. 14, 1953 he married Charlene Munk at Walker. She survives of Manhattan.

Other survivors include a son, Joe of Victoria; daughters, Donna Miller of Emporia, Linda Rogers of Wichita; sisters, Tillie Wagner, Sr. Mary Donna Dreiling C.S.J., both of Hays, Leona Werth, Irene Schumacher, both of Kansas City; six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Anna Marie Dreiling; four brothers, Richard, Raymond, Eugene and Gilbert; a sister, Angela Kisner; and an infant brother, Leo.
