Clyde Strecker died as the result of a mining cave-in at the Yellow Dog mine about 1 mile north of Webb City, Missouri.


Carthage Evening Press, Wednesday, June 5, 1940:

Strecker and his family, consisting of his wife and four children, had been living in Webb City a year last fall. He was born and reared near Jasper and returned here with his family eight years ago from California. He was married in California.
Surviving besides the widow, children and father, and Mrs. Johns here, are four other sisters and a brother.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
