This is my Great Grandmother on My Dad's Mother's side of the family. Obituary shows as buried in Calvary Cemetery in St Cloud, MN. Immigrated from West Prussia in 1883. She had 16 children (6 in West Prussia, and 10 in Minnesota). The 6 children born in West Prussia, were born in Gross Zirkwitz which is in present day Poland. Unsure where Catherine was born? The family farmed in Gilmanton, Benton County, MN and retired in St Cloud. I've seen the name as Catherine, Catharina, Katharina, and Katie. Catherine's husband was Martin Schmidt. The family went by Smith after immigrating and in thier final years they went by Schmidt again.
