Mr. Askew, who was born and reared in this county, is getting up in years but he said that two of his sons were living at Hugo and that they were anxious that he come out there and spend his remaining years with them.

Services Are Pending for Tobe Askew: - Services were pending today with Lampton Funeral Home for Gordon Wakefield (Tobe) Askew, of 612 East Central. Mr. Askew died at his home about 2:45 this morning of a heart attack. He was 67. He was born December 29, 1895, in Alabama, and had been a resident of Hugo since 1908. He was formerly employed by the Hale Halsell Company. He was a veteran of World War I, and was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Alpha; two sons, Lawrence of Hugo, Mrs. Helen Ridgeway of Bethany; a sister, Mrs. T. C. Hutchings of Hugo; two brothers, Noah of Portsmouth Va., and Fred of Omak, Washington; and nine grandchildren.
